The summer’s red lady
We found it thrown away and “dishonored” in many fields in our area. Patiently and alone, she awaits her fate: to rot or to be eaten by a herd of sheep. “I could feed a lot of people, be used, be exploited financially,” we hear her whispering to us.
“I cry my children when I see them thrown in the field. My memory has the scent of mother and tomato,” the producer told us. “At least love them and use them,” he told us before we left.
Labor is scarce because land workers are employed in tourism businesses. Hear the story of the “Red Lady of Summer”.
“The lack of labor leads the production to this tragic picture, which we find in the fields of our region”.
“Red, erect, tight, not at all shy, just betrayed”!
“Did they buy a lot and have some left over?” Why did they have to end up in the trash?
Our suggestion: “A blassed transformation” ! A crate of thrown tomatoes gives us about 14 kilos of tomato sauce!
